Ten years ago when myself and Manj decided to get married we went to a reputable balloon company who on the day just delivered the balloons for us to display ourselves. With a few friends Manj bunched our balloons and made the venue look 'spectacular', all the attendees were amazed at how beautiful it all looked. After that we assisted a friend to plan and decorate her special day, we realized it give us such joy to see how impressed people were with what we had done, so we decided that we would like to start up our business.
After doing a Business Management and Accounts course at a local college and attending many hands on balloon courses, we started our balloon decorating business. We regularly go to balloon shows and are members of Nabas ( National association of balloon artist and suppliers). We also hold a CBA qualification, which is the most comprehensive certification program in the proffessional balloon industry.CBA designers must pass a series of written exams, followed by a four hour CBA practical exam administered by a panel of balloon professionals, They must demonstrate their abilities in the area of balloon decorating, balloon deliveries and balloon arrangement.
So now after 10 years of trading as Balloons for Occasions it still give us as much joy and thrill as it did back then and we have much more in mind. |
